Archive for April, 2009I haven’t had time to think lately, let alone write, but I have to say this: Will everyone just shut the hell up about this d*mn pig flu BS? Stop your d*mn ignorant panicking and find some answers. Here’s one that might work, from my favorite let’s-all-calm-down-there’s-no-need-to-panic book by Lalitha Thomas, “10 Essential Herbs”: “COLDS AND FLU If one or two cups are used each day as a tonic, Yarrow can often prevent a cold or flu from “getting you”. So if there is a cold or flu going around your neighborhood, don’t sit idly by and wait for the symptoms to start. Try Yarrow as a preventative. If it is too late for prevention, eat light and easy-to-digest foods (perhaps miso broth) or fruit, and then flush yourself out by drinking 4 to 8 cups of Yarrow tea each day. For those who want the fastest possible results, try a Yarrow tea enema along with the drinking of the tea. Most of my students find this combination knocks out a cold or flu (especially stomach or intestinal flu) within a day. If there are any lingering symptoms, however, just continue with the tea for a while to finish them off. I usually advise drinking the tea for one full day past the ending of all symptoms of illness. Although Yarrow is usually strong enough on its own, also review the uses of garlic, chaparral and Ginger for help with colds and flu symptoms. A Ginger bath can take the ache out of your body while Garlic and Chaparral are potent antibiotics when that it needed.” A ginger bath is an incredible way to relax and detox. Simply pour a handful of powdered ginger into a hot bath and soak. Don’t waste your money buying prepackaged herbs. You’re spending $5 on the packaging and 2 cents on the actual herbs. Get them (and anything else like the above-mentioned Yarrow tea) at health food stores, or in the health section of regular stores. You can also pour a big scoop of ginger powder into a cup of hot water and drink like tea - that’ll burn the hell out of anything trying to get you. SEGERSTROM FUNDAMENTAL MANIPULATES THIER STUDENTS INTO LEAVING!! Segerstrom Fundamental High School in Santa Ana, California has high test scores and likes to keep it that way. It has come to my attention that Segerstrom is getting way with injustices! Not knowing for sure that this is coming down from the Principal, but knowing for sure that the Counselors are doing it, the one Counselor (if you can call him that anymore!) Mr. Antonio Espinosa, told a Senior in April 2009 (yes, 2 months before he was to graduate!) that it would be better for him to transfer out of the school because he ‘may’ not graduate. What he was telling him was, “We can’t have our wonderful schools’ numbers screwed up because of those of you who may not graduate on time, so we want you to transfer out of our school so that we can keep our fake wonderful scores so high and keep getting whatever awards we get from that feat.” And the idiot convinces these kids and their parents to do it! I personally know one kid that transfered out THIS MONTH (April 2009) JUST 2 MONTHS BEFORE HE MAY HAVE GRADUATED all because his ‘educated and caring’ Counselor talked him into it! This is WRONG!! Segerstrom is manipulating their scores by doing this! Someone look into this! Please! This school does not care about anything other than awards and funding. Oh, they may say that education of their students is top priority, but the REAL top priority is MONEY and STATUS!!! Segerstrom Fundamental wants their students to have morals, but clearly, Segerstrom Fundamental Staff HAVE NONE! A Chicken Club is not just a sandwich any more. It’s a term I use to describe well-meaning groups who are invaded by organizations whose only goal is to feed off their proximity to legitimate, admirable alliances who try to make their communities a better place. For example, a group calling itself ‘Hate Free San Diego‘ has recently come to my attention. It’s mission statement, in part, says: Hate Free San Diego is endorsed by local politicians, city offices, the Gay and Lesbian Center and a diversity of churches. Since San Diego has such a wide diversity of cultures, religious beliefs, and customs, it is an admirable effort to inform and educate the people in our society to learn about the differences and similarities of various peoples who have come here. We have a large Vietnamese community, as well as folk from Africa, Pacific Islands, Afghanistan, China, Iraq, Iran and Mexico. Many of them are refugees fleeing violence in their homelands. When they come, they bring their traditions, religions and cuisine with them. By establishing communication between these varied cultures, we can all have a better understanding of each other. Ignorance fosters fear. Understanding fosters fellowship. People would have a strange reaction if the KKK were to join the NAACP or the Southern Poverty Law Center to enhance its public image. Yet nobody is asking why the San Diego Scientology organization is listed amongst legitimate human rights activists in this group. They are the foxes in the Chicken Club. Their 50 year history is full of racism, domestic espionage, and human rights violations. They still actively try to crush the rights of people to speak out against them, with lies, with lawyers, with private investigators. They use intimidation to terrorize their critics into silence. Sometimes they resort to violence. In 2008, the Scientology organization tried to censor an internet video clip of Tom Cruise talking about Scientology. I’m not sure how many of you know but a few days ago Rebecca Sue Taylor tried to sell her infant son for 10 grand to Leigh Burr. She apparently needed the money for a new apartment. Now Burr had contacted Taylor about becoming a surrogate for her. Instead of that Taylor decided that she needed the money today and offered to sell her baby for 10 grand. Later Rebecca lowered the price for her son to 5 grand. My what a devoted mother. Now if what I just wrote wasn’t bad enough do you know what the penalty is for doing something like this. A 100 to 2500 dollar fine and or 1 to 5 years in prison. THAT’S IT! For trying to sell her own infant son the maximum this woman could face is 2500 dollars and maybe 5 years but I’m sure she’ll get parole in a fraction of that time. Doesnt something just seem wrong with this. I don’t know maybe it’s just me. Our family of four has reduced our trash output to ONE single bag… for the entire week! Some trash cans along our street are bursting at the rim with bags of trash and I often wonder how full their recycling bin is. I don’t intend to look; I’m just curious. We are accomplishing this trash reduction in a couple of ways: 1. we compost food scraps and yard waste in trash barrels outside our kitchen door. This turns into terrific dirt mulch and fill for our garden and trees. 2. We recycle everything possible. We put our recyclables into a basket on top of the fridge, which we empty into the recycling bin every couple of days. Our recycle bin is always 3 times more full than the trash bin, although this week’s record one bag of trash suprises even me! 3. We don’t buy products with a lot of packaging and even reuse some packaging material, depending on what it is. How many bags of trash does your family produce? You know I know that most people walk around life with a half confused look on their faces barely aware their alive. perfectly content to just go with the flow and stay with the status quo. Still why isn’t the American people outraged at our President! I mean what’s it going to take huh? For him to totally bankrupt the country or give Iran the plans for the stealth bomber to Iran. Would that finally wake some of you up. Some of you are awake and that’s great the other 90% of you is what I’m concerned about. When we elected Obama to office he came in with the attitude of we need a new way of doing business and we need change. Well in less than a hundred days he’s spent more than all the other presidents put TOGETHER! and is repeatedly using the tried and true democrat spend, spend, spend method. Have we as an American people bothered to say ”Uh Mr. President where’s all this moeny going? Do you really need this much?” Or most importantly ”How in the hell are we going to pay all of this back?” Have we said that HELL NO! We’re to busy trying to guess who the next American Idol is. Then there’s the foreign diplomats. I’m not talking about him bowing to the Saudi king. That was a show of respect in the man’s country and considering Obama wants to tramp trough his backyard looking for the Taliban then we should show the ruler of the country a little respect. That’s just how I feel. Shaking hands with bloodthirsty dictators on the other hand is not that good of a sign. Most of you didn’t bother to express concern with this though why because it didn’t make the six o’clock news. It only appeared in the paper. Then there’s the job market that no one can find a new one or they’re scared of losing the one they have. All the while the owner or BOD keeps getting to slash salaries and benefits and the employees just take it because “Be happy you at least have a job” has become an acceptable norm! Why hasn’t anyone gotten mad over this broken promise. Didn’t Obama say he’d create jobs and improve the ones that are out there. Well he’s spent 2 trillion and jobless claims keep going UP! 2 trillion dollars and I haven’t seen job one come around as a result! Yet still most of us just keep going along thinking that things will work out I have news for all you people happily living your life in a semi-coma IT’S NOT GOING TO WORK OUT! Not until the majority of American citizens turn off the TV or wake up and calmly ask the president “Uh Mr. President excuse me sir but just what in the hell are you doing with all this money!” Warcorpse |
