Yet another pearl of wisdom from the Obama Nation:

He proposed a plan to save the US Taxpayer 540 million dollars a year by making our Enlisted Men and Women carry PRIVATE health coverage! Then the dumb fuck is surprised that the outcry from Vets and people who actually LOVE this country and respect those who put their lives on the line so that we have the RIGHT to bitch about him being a fucking Douchebag.

I mean its a Voluntary Force after all, Right Barry? I know, Lets see if they can pony up for their own Tanks and Ammunition while you embrace the motherfuckers who want to see Americans burning in Hell?

Am I the ONLY person in the country that is ALREADY fed up with this Arabic Alfred E Newman knock off running a cheap Flea Market Circus in the White House?

Are you fuckers happy yet?

The Democratic National Committee and the media Propped a lying Novelty in front of the American public and they jumped on it like it was going to help get their sheets and colored laundry brighter and more shiney than EVER before.

You, as in the American Public, are the stupidest set of fucking retards on the planet because you fall for this shit over and over again. You were promised that 5 million people that were about to lose their homes would be helped by Novelty Presidential Candidate Obama.

In MAY 464,983 foreclosures occurred out of 3.2 million possible. 19,041were modified and saved from foreclosure. That is 15% foreclosed upon and a WHPPING 6% that weren’t. One quarter of those 19,000 actually had their payments GO UP!!

Literally for every ONE dollar saved by modifications, there are One hundred and Fifty Dollars lost to foreclosure because the parameters of the modifications that the Government will allow are not condusive to the reasons that people are behind in the mortgage to begin with.

You cannot get a loan modification if:
• You have lost your job
• You owe more than 5% above what your house is worth
• You are already in default
• You have not yet missed at least one payment
• Your lender does not want to participate
• Your mortgage is not one of the half of all mortgages insured or owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac
• The reworked mortgage payment would come to more than 31% of your income
• Your mortgage is over $759,000
• The home is not your primary residence

Sweden’s Government actually BOUGHT the mortgages of their citizens that were in distress and reworked the payments to reflect what the owner COULD pay them. The people will have to pay the government back once the economy is mended or sell the house. If they do neither then of course the government would then foreclose of course. The Democrats will NEVER entertain this type of program since it would actually SOLVE the problem without any COST to the taxpayers or throwing money at their friends. THEY would be the ones foreclosing on the houses eventually instead of being able to blame the banks and proliferate the EVIL Corporations lie.

*Hint* have you heard another word from the Obama Nation about mortgages? I doubt that you will either.

Is this the kind of Change YOU can believe in?

Yesterday, our water bill was accompanied by a lovely color brochure on water conservation in the Land of Gracious Living.  Apparently now is the time to conserve or there will be fines to pay!  Oh, no, Mr. Bill!

There is now an ordinance in Yorba Linda (Orange County) to not run sprinklers between 9-6 or more than 3 days per week, wash cars with the hose running, or have excessive water runoff on sidewalks or gutters.  The local government now has a right to tell us when and how to use outdoor water; something that should have been monitored more closely for the past several years.  Now people are screaming, “Next thing they’ll tell us when to take a shower and how many times a day we can flush the toilet!”  I’m not screaming, I’m laughing.

If people monitor their own water usage, there would be no need to bring city ordinances into this, but this is what it’s come to and it doesn’t surprise me, or bother me, one bit.  Given our family’s water usage and methods of household conservation, I don’t feel suppressed at all.

Orange county citizens: ARE YOU OFFENDED BY THIS ORDINANCE?  What are you going to do about it?

I live in Michigan, which I used to say proudly, and I am watching our elected officials tear this state apart. I will state up front that I have no respect for our governor, Jennifer Granholm, yet we as voters share the responsibility for re-electing her again. If you haven’t heard, she plans to make Michigan the next Hollywood. Which may be a good thing for all the unemployed people (over 12% now) who are thinking of changing their career path to include “movie extra.” But I digress. This is not the subject of this posting, but they are related.

Over the past several weeks, our newscasts have repeatedly covered stories about government layoffs; specifically teacher layoffs. This is not a new strategy for local governments looking to tighten the fiscal belt. In fact it’s a stragtegy that I think most people have accepted as “business as usual.” It bothers me that our children suffer the cost of our elected officials’ lack of fiscal responsibility. Can you think of a worst way to do business? That makes about as much sense as beating your child because you wrecked the car on the way to work. One has nothing to do with the other. If private enterprises were as fiscally irresponsible they would be in the same state of finacial ruin as…I don’t know…Gm and Chrysler maybe? We need to get government out of the education business.

It seems to me that the programs that suffer the greatest losses when the money gets tight are those that hit us the hardest. The cuts in this state usually start with the police force and teachers. Two of the most underpaid, thankless, yet undeniably crucial positions on the government payroll. If you want to understand why our education systems are failing, just look at the way government values its teachers. Why would any sane, educated person want to become a teacher, or police officer for that matter? The fact is, the good teachers are in it for the “love of the game.” Hats off to those that have chosen the profession for reasons nobler than a government paycheck. Our education system would be in worse shape if it wasn’t for dedicated teachers.

Our government would like you to believe there is no alternative to public education; that private schools and home schooling are too expensive for the average Joe. It’s kind of ironic that the same government has no problem strapping over one trillion dollars of taxes to our back. The same government that tells us our school systems can’t afford new books, gives GM and Chrysler $15 billion combined to keep them afloat not knowing if they can sustain themselves. During the election campaign all we heard about was better education for our kids and affordable tuition. How many scholarships could have been paid for by the $16 billion tax dollars that Citigroup, Bank of America, and JP Morgan-Chase sent overseas for new loans and investments. By comparison, figuring an average teacher’s salary at $32,000, one billion dollars will pay the salary of 31,250 teachers for a year. Our government has given away 31 years worth of teacher’s salaries to businesses that might fail. I guess our leadership must have gone to government schools if they can find logic in that. Here in Michigan, the Detroit School District has been struggling for years. Partially due to the fact that the tax base is leaving Detroit, but mostly due to the corruption within the system. Schools are sorely in need of repair, several will be shuttered, and again the students will be punished for the sins of the few. They will pay with over-crowded classrooms and over-worked teachers. What a great way to insure the education of this, and future, generations.

People will argue that the government owes their children a “free education.” There is nothing free about it. Besides taxes, Michigan’s lottery system has generated over 3.5 billion dollars for the School Aid Fund in the last 5 years alone. Don’t forget the Bingo nights, candy sales, and booster clubs to name a few more. All payed by the taxpayer. And who do we have to complain to when we don’t get our money’s worth? The government. What a great business model. The same authority that mandates the taxes to go to their schools, creates the guidelines to measure the success of the schools. I’m going to try that. From this day forward, compared to myself, I am a genius. I like it! What this does in reality, however, is create a no-win situation for students. Let’s face it. Unless students are motivated, goal-oriented self-starters, they will receive nothing more than the bare minimum to pass. If students can’t handle that, the school system doesn’t have the time or resources to help; unless, of course, you conveniently fall into one of the “special needs” categories that the government can tax us for.

I believe the government wants schools to fail. If they truly didn’t they would not be in their current state of dishevelment. To put it bluntly, the less educated our students become, the easier it will be to grow nosensical ideas and create a more dependent society. The government has created its own captive audience. Better schools, home schooling, and inteligence are the are the bane of dependency. If we become smarter, pesky little critters like constitutionality, free speech, and individualism will end up cluttering the tracks of the Collective Express. You can call me a conspiracy theorist if you desire, but I think of myself more as a common sense theorist.

The bottom line is this. I truly believe that education is key. Good education, not so-called free (or affordable) education. Education that inspires, rather than enslaves them. Education founded on integrity rather than agendas.  Our kids deserve more.

I don’t know if it’s sheer exhaustion from weed wacking, or boredom with Life (myself), or financial stress that seems to get a little more excruciating every paycheck, but I don’t feel sorry for Obama, and in fact, I do believe I’ve done a complete reversal with regard to my opinion of him. I think he’s just another asshole dressed up like a politician, flapping his lips, lying through his teeth.

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said (something like) “I’ll keep my guns, freedom and money, you can keep the change.” That pretty much summarizes how I feel about Obama right now, as of this moment.

It’s a real bummer; you can’t help but like the guy. For once, a nice-guy president who seemed to be able to talk to the general populace as if he actually was one of them (at some point in his life.) He seemed like someone with a conscious. He appeared to have America’s best interests in mind. He had experienced hardship; I, personally, could relate to that. He wasn’t just some little prick dressed up in cotton wool his whole life, groomed to take over the family fortune. He didn’t seem to be a spoiled little smug ignoramus shit of a man, like his predecessor. And the fact that he was black (or half-black – I don’t know why we say half-black, as opposed to half-white, but anyways…) the fact that he was pretty much black, made him seem like a long-overdue miracle. Change was happening. People themselves had changed enough in just a hundred years time to elect a black man for president. That’s pretty huge.

I could list more likeable things about him; there are plenty, but mostly it was the way he talked and what he said on the campaign trail that made him such an appealing choice. He said all the right things. Silly, ignorant, gullible me. I, like all those people that crammed the Lincoln Memorial for Obama’s inauguration celebration, put all that campaign trail bullshit together in my wee little mind, and had hopes that things actually would change. For real. But they haven’t. And after a quick scanning of a random selection of articles written by what appear to be intelligent, well-informed, well-educated people, I’m pretty convinced that Obama is just a good-looking version of all the previous shit that we’ve “chosen” to represent us, as Americans.

I feel like I’ve been had. I’m tired and I’m sick of financial worries. I don’t even have it nearly as bad as some people. Compared to some people my life is a miracle right now (knock on wood). But I wake up in the middle of the night stressing about money on a regular basis. I don’t even think any more what I used to think, “…As soon as I get this thing (bill) out of the way, I can start digging myself out. Next paycheck…” I just think, “Thank god I can throw something (some little f**king miniscule peanut with a dollar sign attached to it) at this bill, this time around. At least I won’t get sent to collections…yet.” I have just enough money to throw peanuts at my bills every month. Forget about digging myself out. I’m like a f**king dumbass spectator at a zoo, standing outside the elephant exhibit throwing peanuts at my problems, trying to make them go away. And every time I throw a peanut, the f**king elephant just wants more. Voracious little f**k. And I’m not even one of those (*greedy*, *bad*) Americans that spends shitloads of money they don’t have on shitloads of unnecessary shit every time they hit the stores. I pretty much buy what I need, and splurge on a frugal treat every now and then.

So back to Obama. Are my financial troubles his fault? No. (gag; yes) Because the amount that he appears to be spending is putting me and every other American deeper into the hole. Like I said, forget about ever digging ourselves out. We’re slaves and we will be slaves for as far down the road as I can see into the future, thanks to the way the government is spending out money - money we haven’t even earned yet. Ironic; that a black man is the one sitting on the steps of the plantation, this time around. He hasn’t changed a d*mn thing, and by the looks of it, he’s just more of the same old shit. I hate the American Government. The whole thing is a lying sack of shit.

Change? F**k change. Like the bumper sticker said, keep it. It won’t ever be enough to do me or my children a damn bit of good.

The only reason I feel sorry for Obama is because I suspect he has a conscious. (unlike dickwad Bush) Sorry about my profanity…sort of.)

The thing is, there’s no president that can do an ounce of good because they have no control. They have to do what the “powers that be” want. It’s just the way it is. It’s nature. The strong bastards rule and they get what they want. Money is the muscle that runs the planet so those assholes that have the most of it, run the world, regardless of how fucked up, immoral, stupid and (make up your own word and put it HERE)  they are.

Here’s another batch of morons that I can do without

The people that think Walgreen’s is a place to do major shopping. It’s not it’s a fucking conviance store/PHARMACY! It’s a place where sick people go to get prescriptions filled and maybe get some Gatorade. Why is that every time I’m sick I’m always stuck behind some bubble assesd woman who decided to buy 24 margarita glasses. And the cashier is some 90 year old lady that’s taking five minutes to wrap each one even though the fucking things are plastic. Then usually if I’m lucky the customer will pay with a card if not they’ll ask if they can pay with a check even though there at least two signs saying we don’t accept checks! People get your major shopping done at a major store, or at least a store that’s for dishes or whatever. Walgreen’s is a store to run in and grab a few items you forgot but mostly it’s where sick pissed off people go to get mounds of drugs to get them better.

People that pay with a check - Oh my god! do these people piss me off to no end! Do these people not know that checks take for fucking ever to write! For me personally they always screw the hell out of my balance sheet because I’ve waited damn near a month before the check cleared and was taken out of my account. Now paying bills with them is one thing. Personally I don’t know why anyone doesnt do bill pay but if you don’t have a computer. But going to a store and using them irks me to no end! Folks you have this thing called a CHECK CARD!!!!!!!! IT’S A LOT FASTER!!!!!!!!!! Then some of these morons will reply “Well I’m old fashioned and I like my checks” (These old-fashioned people can be like 22 at times)  I scream back “IT’S CALLED PROGRESS! WE USED TO GET AROUND WITH THE HOARSE AND CART BUT WE DON’T DO THAT ANYMORE!”

People that blame McDonald for their massive weight gain. We all know people like this hell might even have a friend like this. They’re overweight and know it’s getting harder for them to do things or the health problems are starting to come around. Do they take personnel responsibility for it and go to the gym or take a walk or hell just eat a fucking salad NO! They end up saying it’s not my fault I can’t fit into a elevator anymore or that I can’t fit into a airplane seat It’s McDonalds, Burger Kings or Wendy’s fault. they usually say this while stuffing a Big Mac in their faces. My question to them is did anyone put a gun to your head and force you to get the three cheeseburgers. NO! I think that they put their hands on the steering wheel, drove to the Golden Arches and ordered the three Big Macs Didn’t they.

There probably will be a part three to this but that’s all I can think of for the moment

“Due to swine flu, state health officials are changing the way public schools report absences…” That was the beginning of the recorded message I got on my phone last night from the school district.

Now, because of this so-called pandemic, public schools have to report to State Health Officials EVERY student who is absent because of flu-like symptoms.

What are flu-like symptoms?

*fever of 100 degrees or higher

*sore throat,

*cough,

*body aches,

*runny nose

Give me a break. What illness doesn’t fit into that list?

So the big question is…….Am I going to be a good girl and tell the school that my children have flu-like symptoms when I call them in sick? Whatever.

(From the School Districts Website:) “Students or staff with influenza-like illness should stay home and not attend school for at least 7 days even if their symptoms resolve sooner. If after 7 days, the student or staff continues to have acute symptoms, he or she should stay home until 24 hours after these symptoms resolve. If you have questions, please contact your school’s Health Services Office.”

If my kids are sick, they’ll stay home until they’re better. Period. If they are better, they will go to school. I’m not keeping them out of school for a whole god damn week because they MIGHT have flu-LIKE symptoms for one day of that week. I WILL keep them out for as long as they need to for WHATEVER reason until they are well enough to go to school, whether it’s one day or three weeks. I will decide. It’s MY job to be the parent - NOT the governments. Fucking invasive pile of bullshit.

By the way, the number of people that die every year from staph infections would make this so-called swine flu epidemic look like a small piece of paradise. I don’t know. If was going to freak out about something, I’d freak out about Staph infections. The number of deaths caused by this nasty little infection is anywhere from 18,000 per year to 100,000 per year, (depending on who’s talking) and affects as many as 2 million people a year, give or take. I don’t know how many people die every year from contracting Staph in hospitals, and I don’t care enough to research it, but it’s plenty more than the number of people dying from Swine Flu. So if you’re thinking of going to a Hospital to fix your swine flu, well… good luck.

By the way, the TOTAL number of people that have died from Swine Flu in the USA, is 3. In case you missed that number, here it is again: THREE.

The TOTAL number of deaths from Swine Flu ON THE PLANET is 53. It’s an epidemic alright. With respect to that, am I going to report that my children’s symptoms are flu like? Fuck you. How’s that for an answer?

OK so I have something that’s been bothering me for a few weeks now. It’s spring now, and the weather has been pretty good where I live. Lots of sunshine, warm temps. And every time I’ve been walking the dog, I see more and more of this, and it’s starting to piss me off. So, please, if you haven’t done so yet-

                Cut your fucking grass.

As I walk the dog, I see more and more houses that don’t have lawns anymore. It’s more like they have small forests.  And while you’re at it, it’s also time to take down the fucking campaign signs. Either your guy lost-get over it-or your guy won-if so stop lording it over everyone else. I have a yellow Lab, and some of these yards he sniffs around, the grass is up to his belly. Half the damn time I can’t tell if he’s pooping, peeing, or just walking through. I’m a very conscientious dog owner. I always carry 2 poop bags with me, ‘cause you never know when he’ll double dip. But if you’re not gonna have the decency to cut your grass, then what’s my incentive to pick up dogshit?

Now, I’ve never been on safari or anything, but the sounds I hear coming from these yards are not unlike what I imagine the Serengeti to sound like. I fully expect to see disembodied glowing eyes peering back from the bushes. Or snakes dangling from the trees.

Look, I know cutting the grass is a pain in the ass. I have to pick up dog poop- but always manage to miss a pile or 2-, dog toys, move the hammock, get rid of last weeks’ empties…yea, it sucks. But it’s gotta be done. I don’t live in a ritzy neighborhood by any stretch, but as I walk up and down the streets and see more and more yards unkempt, it really pisses me off. It would really fire me up if my neighbor cut his damn lawn once every full moon. Let’s ignore the health issues; tall, uncut grass is a haven for ticks, a breeding ground for mosquitoes and I am sure the media will inflate fears of swine flu somehow emanating from dandelions and crabgrass. It makes your house look like shit. It makes your neighbors look like shit. Hey, look I appreciate there isn’t a rotting Ford Fairlane carcass in your front lawn, but still, cut it once a week.

Really, some of these lawns are getting to the point where the grass is so tall, it can’t be cut; it needs a controlled burn. So please, start cutting your damn lawn. Maybe your neighbors won’t tell you, but I will.

I haven’t had time to think lately, let alone write, but I have to say this: Will everyone just shut the hell up about this d*mn pig flu BS? Stop your d*mn ignorant panicking and find some answers. Here’s one that might work, from my favorite let’s-all-calm-down-there’s-no-need-to-panic book by Lalitha Thomas, “10 Essential Herbs”:

COLDS AND FLU If one or two cups are used each day as a tonic, Yarrow can often prevent a cold or flu from “getting you”. So if there is a cold or flu going around your neighborhood, don’t sit idly by and wait for the symptoms to start. Try Yarrow as a preventative.

If it is too late for prevention, eat light and easy-to-digest foods (perhaps miso broth) or fruit, and then flush yourself out by drinking 4 to 8 cups of Yarrow tea each day. For those who want the fastest possible results, try a Yarrow tea enema along with the drinking of the tea. Most of my students find this combination knocks out a cold or flu (especially stomach or intestinal flu) within a day. If there are any lingering symptoms, however, just continue with the tea for a while to finish them off. I usually advise drinking the tea for one full day past the ending of all symptoms of illness.

Although Yarrow is usually strong enough on its own, also review the uses of garlic, chaparral and Ginger for help with colds and flu symptoms. A Ginger bath can take the ache out of your body while Garlic and Chaparral are potent antibiotics when that it needed.”

A ginger bath is an incredible way to relax and detox. Simply pour a handful of powdered ginger into a hot bath and soak. Don’t waste your money buying prepackaged herbs. You’re spending $5 on the packaging and 2 cents on the actual herbs. Get them (and anything else like the above-mentioned Yarrow tea) at health food stores, or in the health section of regular stores. You can also pour a big scoop of ginger powder into a cup of hot water and drink like tea - that’ll burn the hell out of anything trying to get you.
