Skinny dipping at the bottom of Rainbow Falls in Hawaii, with Megan Fox, is definitely at the top of my summer activities wish list. Now that would be a real transformer.
Of course, the only way that will happen is if I die and God says, “Welcome to heaven Mountain Dude- I’m going to make all of your wishes come true.” Needless to say, it’s always good to be prepared for anything- Even sudden death–Which is why I have more than a few wishes stashed away, just in case.
Realistically, my less grandiose goal for this summer is to enjoy at least five outdoor rock concerts. With so many venues to choose from, I’m sure I can pull that off without having to go to heaven and transform a bunch of wishes. Of course “heaven” means different things to different people. For some people, getting high on great music at a concert under the stars, on a warm summer night, when an amazing performer is creating magic moments, can make it seem like one is actually experiencing heaven on earth- Even if it only lasts for a few heartbeats. And then there’s kissing beneath a shimmering shroud of stars, which can also make it seem like you’re in heaven (but let’s not get too sidetracked with stuff like love and carnal connections).
One of my favorite rock concert venues is at Lake Arrowhead, California. Located high in the mountains in a picturesque, alpine village setting, there is a free concert every Friday and Saturday night, all summer long. Picture speed boats and water skiers skimming all over a beautiful lake surrounded with pine trees. Kids are walking around the village licking ice cream cones. Dog lovers are parading their big huskies, shepherds and Saint Bernards. Families are having picnics all over a grassy knoll in full view of the concert stage. A convenient beer garden is stage left and offers a variety of beer and wine. Concerts always begin just before dusk and by the time it gets dark, the dance area right in front of the stage is packed with people visibly having a great time. The bands scheduled for this weekend are: “Fantastic Diamond,” a rock band, and “Common Sense” a reggae band.
Another of my favorite venues is in Long Beach, California, where the Queen Mary is docked. This weekend, there is a “Motorcycle Show and Calendar Girl Music Festival.” The two day event, located at Queen Mary Park, includes a “Custom Motorcycle Show” and a “Calendar Girl Bikini Contest.”

Crowds of up to 20,000 people, mostly biker types, walk around eyeballing hot, custom bikes and hot, scantily dressed models who work in the tents sponsored by 200 major motorcycle parts manufacturers. I went last year and became fascinated with the electric motorcycles. I’m still planning on buying one. Fuck gas. Fuck the Middle East.
Food booths sell BBQ ribs and burgers. An outdoor bar under a big tent offers cold beer, wine and mixed drinks. Sexy and talented all girl bands perform throughout the day. Last year, there was a smokin’ hot all girl, ACDC tribute band (Whole Lotta Rosies), and they are going to perform again this weekend. Actress/singer Elizabeth Nicole will also be back performing and hosting. Her many talents are worth the price of admission alone.
Where is your favorite concert venue located?

I think the top 10 American Idols for this year is the most talented group ever. In past years at this stage, there was always one or two performers I could barely stand to listen to while waiting for my favorites’ turn.
When Alexis Grace was sent home, I was surprised and disappointed. I thought she was certainly better than Michael Sarver and I would prefer to see her perform live. Nevertheless, I still might buy tickets to see the 10 idols on tour this year.
So far, my favorites are Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta. Who are you rooting for?

“Soft skin, red lips, so kissable - Hard to resist, so touchable,” sings Katy Perry about a girl who dares to plant a kiss on a hot chick (in the song - I KISSED A GIRL). The song has a catchy tune and a rebellious theme. A good rock song usually has a rebellious element in play. The song was widely rated as the number one song of 2008, but it barely made my top 100 greatest rock songs list. In fact, I rated it number 100 (in last place).
I own a small ipod which holds 100 songs. After 100 songs play, my play list starts over again so after I hear Katy Perry sing lyrics like “I kissed a girl and I liked it, the taste of her cherry chapstick,” I soon listen to - LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER by Bon Jovi, which I think is the greatest rock anthem of the 1980s. The song is about a struggling young couple (Tommy & Gina) trying to keep their love alive against the tough odds of a rough economy. Tommy isn’t making any money (”He’s down on his luck…it’s tough, so tough”) and Gina has to support both of them with her crummy, low paying waitress job (”Gina works the diner all day - Working for her man, she brings home her pay for love.”) I like the song’s gritty optimism and never give up attitude. Even though Tommy and Gina have nothing but their love and a prayer, they have faith that they will make it somehow (”We’re halfway there, livin’ on a prayer. Take my hand and we’ll make it I swear.”)
Of course it’s a lot easier for couples to work out their problems in a fictional song or a fantasy movie than in real life. We know economic problems is the number one cause of all divorces. I guess the super rich conservatives hogging most of America’s money don’t really care that much about family values after all. I can’t resist pointing out Ronald Reagan lowered the income tax rate of the richest people in the United States to 28 percent during the 1980s (when Livin’ On a Prayer first topped the charts) and the quality of life for the middle class continued to be lowered as well. During the 1950s, when the quality of life for the middle class was very high, the federal income tax rate for people earning over $400,00.00 per year was 91 percent.
LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER has a great ending - “We’ve got to hold on ready or not - You live for the fight when it’s all that you’ve got.”
What are your favorite songs?

Track one Deplete
Dry are my hopes,
of living alone
with you I see
me smiling.
Though my face is rusty, Whyd you have to go and put a ring around your finger
I tried to erase you from my mind, your face still lingers
Its a common tale of attraction, when we met I was pennyless on the streets, Your impression I bet is permission to let, My heart and soul deplete
My heart and sould be deplete
Another year down, (down)
10 more so long (so long)
My youth will be gone (gone, gone)
So lets hold on for now
Though my faith is rusty (though my)
Its a common tale of attraction, when we met I was pennyless on the streets, Your impression I bet is permission to let, My heart and soul deplete
My heart and sould be deplete
(first verse reprise,deplete chorus)

“I am awesome at guitar hero, and I am sure if I bought a real guitar I could be good at that too! Who wants to start a band?”
That my friends was an actual classified post I recently came across. To those of you who do play guitar, you know your realm of capability. Your either a beginner, intermediate, or an expert. Most beginners think theyre experts, and most intermediate students know what they should do to progress. Its called time. Thousands of hours you spent watching TV this year, or playing video games, you could have painted, worked out, or played music. But, no, this D-bag chose to play guitar hero.
He is the epitome of the tone deaf retards on American Idol who waltz in like they own the stage and forget words to a shitty acapella version of a song THEY wrote. Id like to be a ninja, but I didnt take any karate, therefore I will not enter a backflip competition. If you’ve never sang in public, or heard a recording of yourself singing? Dont try out for a vocal competition
Speaking of things I hate about the thing I love the most, (which is music) is the coined phrase “playing” music. It underminds the literal skill and work and technique. No artist is playing crayons.
Random thought, Drums are toys for adults. If you have not sat behind a kit, I recommend you do so immediately. Try and frown.
So Ive played until my guitar was covered in blood, and smoked 2 packs durring every 1 song I wrote (which is up to 70 songs now) recorded extensively, ive played over 150 bar/college/party shows. Ive been reduced to street performing in Killadelphia due to financial difficulty and some nutsack got good at a video game and wants to learn an instrument.
If anyone knows who this is, please tell him to send his new 2 thousand dollar Martin that Im sure mommy will buy and give it to some one who needs it when he gets bored in 2 hours and realizes he doesnt really know how to play Enter Sandman.
Finally Ill leave you with this, ALL rap doesnt suck, but in a pie chart graph, good rap would be the “other” section marked off in the 1 or 2 % haha most rap fans couldnt tell you what a bass was if it was Victor Wooten raping their ear holes to a Jay-z song. Grown ass adults named Jay-z, and p dooty, or whatever mr combes calls himself, and is every rapper a fucking midget? They are all named Lil! Sorry for my grammatical errors and syntax misuse, Im incredibly high on weed, the difference between my music and rap is Im not going to shoot anyone over a dimebag, and then Im going to wait till I come down to see if what I wrote is actually good.
