You know for the first time in my life I think that I’m actually floored. On PBS around here they had a 2 hour special on how the world WILL NOT END! in 2012! They spent how much money to reassure people of something I could have told them for a dollar, fifty!

The 2012 hysteria started with a station that I used to love and now almost loathe the History Channel. They had one almost every month for a few years Docu-Dramas about the end of the world in 2012. Now what you ask your old pal Warcorpse is a docu-drama. Well unlike a documentary which films the facts regardless of the outcome and tries to be fair and impartial. Something that Michale Moore should learn if he wants to keep calling himself a documentary film maker.

Now a docu-Drama is a little diffrent it will report facts BUT will over look some other rather large facts for the purpose of entertainment and shock value. I find that the History Channel in paticular is going more and more with Docu-Dramas. Isn’t that funny from a channel that’s supposed to teach me about history? Last time I checked history dosen’t change because it’s already done.

Well onto the Mayan 2012 bullshit. Had most people even gone to wikipedia they would have found out that the Mayans didn’t have just one calender they had about seven or eleven I can’t remember which. These calenders are circular meaning they repeat and they range in length from a half a day to a few centuries. The big one the one we’re coming up on is due to eclipse in 2012 something it does once every 5,162, years (that number is what I remember so if it’s wrong don’t bother pointing that out) So the big calender will start all over again.

Let me illustrate another way take the Christian calender in that calender it will never be November 19 2009 again will it. However in the Mayan calender it will be November 19 2009 again once it reaches that point in its rotation AGAIN! And by the way we were already on the earth the last time this thing eclipsed we were building the pyramids so we had been around for a long long time the last time it happened.

One last note on the end of the world dates.  James Randi has compiled a list of dates the world was supposed to end guess how many misses ALOT! Plus to further put your mind at ease the great builders of the pyramids had their own end of the world date scrawled in the great pyramid of Giza guess when that is! drum roll………….. 1984!!!!! Well we made it through that one and we’ll make it through this one to.

So don’t rack up the credit card bills to high becuase we’re all going to be around for a long, long time.

Warcorpse

Yes a man who was light years ahead of his time penned this opening to one of the MOST influential documents ever written in history.

Sadly, today this means nothing to the elected officials governing our once great country. No it didn’t start sliding downhill when the Novelty Obama-nation uttered the statement, “We live in the greatest country in the world; help me change it, but that non hacker sure as fuck hasn’t HELPED things out a whole lot has he?

Motherfuckers (and father fuckers for you ladies who feel left out when I say it) Are lining up to defend this shitbird with statements like “No one can expect him to deliver on all of his campaign promises”. Then WHY the FUCK was he elected by a majority vote? If it doen’t matter what they say, why aren’t we picking a President’s name out of a fucking Fez? (Yeah a turban would just be a freaking hand towel with a bunch of clumps of paper inside it wouldn’t it?)

I’m getting off track here. HEALTH CARE for ALL should be FOR all not just one for us and one for them. I’f I’m having their shit crammed down my throat then at least tell me that they are getting the same lack of condiments that I am. REGULATIONS and REFORM are what the current System needs and not a Socialist, Eastern Block replacement for it.

While we’re at it, lets think about this. Nancy Pelosi and the fucking DNC is all over this shit about Leveling out the WEALTH of the nation. Lets call this what it REALLY is. They want You and I to be in the poorest 85% of the nation so THEY can be in the RICHEST 15% (if they will allow that many people to be as “privileged” as they are for being good enough to get you fucking moronic, mouth breathing masses to vote them into office.

“From Each According to His Abilities and To Each According to His Needs” is the mantra that these fuckaholics are chanting and the Public is chewing that up like it is a NEW concept. Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov brought forth REFORM via these means in a little place that used to be called Russia with these EXACT words.

The FIRST thing that these radicals who wish to infringe upon OUR Inalienable Rights do is to take away the guns of the people that they wish to enslave.

Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

This was written by men who had to shed blood to have the right to protect themselves from all enemies Foreign AND Domestic.

Hitler immediately took away every gun from the Jews and I hope you fucking idiots do remember what happened to them during his rise to power. NOW the Democrats have sought to take guns out of the hands of the people for many years and they always come back to the same thing. They SAY it is for OUR own good so that “Criminals” cannot get their hands on guns to harm us. WAKE THE FUCK UP. They are the criminals that wish to enslave YOU and make you work so that you get just enough to get by and they get MORE than they can possibly expect their grandchildren to be able to spend. if GUNS are so BAD, why are these people all Guarded by agents who have them?

AGAIN… WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE! Our society is being dumbed down by the lack of a true Education System. Our Wages and Income are being attacked, we are being led like lambs to the slaughter and the apathy and brainwashing that our leaders MUST be right just because they hold that position is sickening.

We are soon going to need a Revolution to get the Government out of our wallets, schools, and privacy of our own bedrooms because the MASSES can no longer think for themselves or ask the simple questions and react to the answers that are given to them rather than just going with the flow.

I can no longer sit idly by and watch the destruction of the greatest nation in the world. Who has the guts to speak out with me?

Conservative Republican, Mark Sanford, governor of South Carolina, recently told his staff he needed to clear his head and then disappeared for 7 days. Today, Sanford admitted he secretly flew to Argentina to visit a women he’d been having an extramarital affair with. During a press conference, Sanford resigned as President of the Republican Governor’s Association. Should Sanford also resign from being governor like Eliot Spitzer of New York did when he got caught cheating on his wife with a prostitute? Which is a worse offense to a marriage…Having a lengthy affair or having sex with a prostitute? Normally, I would say, “Sanford’s affair is between him and his wife, so leave them the hell alone.” But what bothers me most about Sanford is his hypocrisy. During the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Sanford voted for 3 of 4 articles of impeachment against Bill Clinton citing the need for “moral legitimacy.” Now that Sanford has been caught cheating, he suddenly seems to have a lower standard for himself.

I vacationed in Argentina recently and I can tell you first hand, the women down there really know how to tango. I even photographed some of the many great dance performances I was impressed with. Since I’m not married, I’m glad I don’t need to try and keep my trip a secret.  In fact, I had such a good time, I’m tempted to snow bird down there for a few months next winter. The American dollar currently goes very far in Argentina and exchanges for almost 4 pesos to 1. For example, It was easy to get a complete steak dinner at a restaurant for 12 pesos which is only about 3 dollars in American money.  Cab rides to most places in Buenos Aires are only about $2. As far as getting by with English goes, I had no problem. Most of the people I wanted to talk to spoke enough basic English for us to communicate. If I was married, I would definitely take my wife with me. With the great exchange rate, it would be easy to spoil her with nice hotels and amazing shopping opportunities.

Getting back to politics, while Mark Sanford was being romantic with his mistress, he probably kissed his shot at winning the next republican nomination for the presidency goodbye. I don’t think anyone wants a republican version of John Edwards running around. I guess the remaining contenders are Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich. While Huckabee and Romney have many admirable qualities, I think Gingrich has the best chance of winning. Sorry to Sarah Palin fans- I’m glad she’s governor of Alaska because of her efforts to increase energy production (while the democrats aren’t doing enough to free us from Middle East oil), but even though Palin is charismatic and can do a great job delivering a speech, I think the presidency is out of her league.  Unlike Palin, Gingrich has vast depth of knowledge about complicated issues our country has to deal with and he constantly works on finding solutions.

As of this date, which republican politician would you prefer to see leading the ticket in 2012?

One of the nations biggest bra makers stated that three years ago, the most common size in the country was 36C. In 2008, it was 36D and will increase to 36DD in 2009. Wacoal won’t even venture a guess as to when or where the increases will end.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (yes, the government had to get in on it) blames the increase in breast size to obesity but does conceed that it also might be due to women being fitted with the correct size. Women, especially teenagers, selected a bra one size too small, to show off what they have. Being fitted for a bra instead of just selecting one off the rack took off after Oprah (The Queen of talk) devoted an entire show to buying the correct size.

Breast augmentation has kept up with inflation (no pun intended) as more women, for unknown reasons, seek to improve on what they have. Not only in the United States but in other countries as well. A Texas woman, who shall remain anonymous, had to travel to South America to finally get what she wanted, two pounds of silicon in each breast, giving her a 48KKK bra size (custom made no less. Back brace not included). It appears that Texas has a law regulating just how much a woman can improve herself and she had reached the limit.I also heard that Pamela Anderson wanted to donate her implants to the Smithsonian Museum but was turned down. Will they show up on Ebay?

I don’t consider myself a prude, I’m past 60 years old and spent 10 years in the Navy traveling southeast Asia, so I think I’ve seen it all. I went through the Flower Power and Free Love society of the 60s and 70s and saw just what a young woman would go through, or so I thought. Men burned their draft cards, women burned their bras. Watching women take off their bras in downtown Long Beach, California and tossing them into a pile was a sailors delight. There were more teats hanging out than at a dairy farm.

Any scientist can tell you that breasts are only meant for one thing, breast feeding the young. Try tell any raging harmone teenager that and see what answer you get. Breasts come in all sizes; big, small, well rounded, pointed, soft, firm but as someone once told me, “Anything more than a mouthfull shouldn’t be wasted.” Also, one size does not fit all and that’s where bra fitting comes in, a job any man would kill for. Victoria’s Secret probably has the lock of sexy bras, the ones that are there but can’t be seen, barely more than two band aids, and tease the male to no end.

Personally, I like something left to the imagination, something like unwrapping a Christmas gift on Christmas day.

Another, very public celebrity adoption has recently made the news.  Madonna has reportedly petitioned the Malawi Welfare Department to adopt a three year-old little girl named Mercy James.  This comes just over two years after she adopted one year-old David Banda from the same area amidst much criticsm.  Who was her biggest critc?  Professional celebrity adopter, Angelina Jolie who claims that Madge used her star status and big bucks to adopt David from a place where there is no legal structure for adoption.  The implication here being that it smacks of “black market” baby sales.  Be that as it may, Madonna is back for more babies and the focal point of this “shopping spree” is the REASON that she is adopting.  Friends of the woman who used to be like a virgin, say that she “needs” a baby because she thinks that it will help her to get over her recent divorce from director Guy Ritchie.  Hmm.  Let’s put a push pin in that for a moment.  A Mawali government representative is quoted as saying, “The news she is linked to another woman’s husband and a young man less than half her age makes us question her morals.”

Now, I’m not some star-bashing writer here to crucify Madonna.  However, I am the father of an adopted child who remembers the hoops that my wife and I had to jump through to be fortuante enough to get a child.  It consisted of writing a mulitple page autobiography about our lives, including how we were raised, disciplined, schooled, encouraged, discouraged…and on and on.  It also entailed in-home studies, CPR classes, parenting classes, several interviews and finally…money, which was the least of the process.  In the end, we were blessed with one of the greatest kids in the world and I’m not so sure that I would’ve wanted it any other way.  Why?  If the agency goes through that much effort and scrutinizing to place a child, it becomes incumbent upon the prospective parent to be BETTER; a better person, a better husband/wife, a better friend and most of all a better parent.  I can imagine that if I came into the agency looking for a child after having recently divorced, sort of dating and raising a teenager while travelling the world as a celebrity, they would’ve said “Yeah…um NO!  Thanks for stopping by.”

My main point is that adoption can’t be as much about you as it is about what you are willing to sacrifice.  No place is this more painfully demonstrated than in the mother who gives up that child.  If that’s the model, then the very fortunate recipients of that precious child should likewise be prepared to make sacrifices that, least of all, benefit themselves.  Certainly our child was a dream come true - a prayer answered -but the lifetime of pouring into that childs life was not lost on either of us.  In fact, it was overwhelming to comprehend at times.  We didn’t (and don’t) have a lot of money, we don’t travel the world and we are definitely not celebrities.  So, what do my wife and I have to offer to this child?  The answer is a lifetime of love and committment to one another as man and wife; a home where the love of God and others is demonstrated, instruction and encouragement that promotes character and integrity above popularity, compassion for others, self-confidence tempered with humility and dignity in difficulty and defeat.

Can Madonna offer these things and more to a small child from Malawi?  Certianly!  Will she?  It remains to be seen.

Benman out!

The fireworks of explosive comments from Ann Coulter, Meghan McCain and Laura Ingraham aimed at fellow republicans demonstrate the inevitability of all out war between progressive and conservative factions for controll of the republican party.

Conservative Ann Coultre devastated the McCain faction when she said, “I would rather vote for Hillary Clinton than John McCain.”  Meghan McCain, (who supports stem cell research,  gay marriage and describes herself as a progressive republican), campaigned for her father and blasted  Coulter saying, “I find her offensive, radical, insulting and confusing all at the same time. She also said, Coultre represents bad stereotypes of republican women.

Conservative talk radio pundit Laura Ingraham insulted Meghan McCain with derogatory shots aimed at McCains body weight in describing McCain as a “plus size.” McCain fired back saying Laura Ingraham can “Kiss my fat ass.” McCain who claims to presently be a size 8 also said, “I am not overweight in the least - But even if I were overweight, I expected substantive criticism from conservative pundits for my views. That is the nature of political discourse, and my intent was to generate discussions about the current problems facing the republican party.

McCain says she is trying to be a good role model for a new generation of republican women and describes Coultre as being a bad role model for republican woman.

What say you?

Shocking & Informative Video, A Must Watch !

It’s all the rage these days; talking about the high cost of pharmaceuticals and the evil drug companies. We are forced to give our hard-earned dollars to gigantic corporations and insurance companies so that we can manage our blood pressure, depression, ADD and HD children, and our erections. Billions of dollars spent on drugs that don’t work, cause debilitating side-effects, and force people to live in poverty. Yet a rising number of people in this country are willing to swallow the most expensive pill ever formulated. It’s going to cost us jobs, industry, and billions of dollars and it will grind our economy to a halt. We won’t need a prescription or any particular illness; we won’t even need water to swallow it. I am talking about the global-warming pill.

We are constantly bombarded with “green” adds and the message of inevitable, catastrophic destruction of our planet under the boot heel of our carbon footprint. Most of our ills will magically disappear if we just listen to our Earth. It wants us to drive hybrids, and build wind farms, and purchase carbon credits. Only we, and our devine egos, can save the planet from a fiery death. Massive storms, melting ice, and starving polar bears are just some of ways the Earth is warning us of our impending doom. Almost every natural occurrence (and so-called disaster), even though they have been around for billions of years, can be attributed to our (relatively) short-lived existence and the effects of global warming.

Accurate and steady temperature records have only been kept for about the last 150 years. In that 150 years our planet has seen population, industrial, and technological growth like never before. We have altered the course of rivers, cleared lands of forest, and unleashed nuclear weapons. But as hard as it is to believe, we have never altered the temperature of this planet. We may have affected local temperatures in and around our biggest cities, but not the entire planet. Though hard to imagine, there is something out there much bigger than us; bigger still than our collective egos. Something even greater than the love we express by hugging fur seal. A universal force of almost limitless power and unbridled energy; it’s known as the sun.

The sun is the single largest contributor to our planet’s temperature and consequent unending cyclic temperature changes. Why is this fact so hard to accept? Because we cannot change it. Regardless of how many CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards we enact or loads of laundry we dry on clotheslines. There are factors in this universe that will not yield to our presence or lack thereof. Solar cycles are one example.

Solar cycles are recurring cycles of sun spot activity. Solar cycles last an average of 11 years according to the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, and have been observed almost as long as the telescope has been around. These cycles reflect the increasing and decreasing number of sunspots that appear in the sun’s atmosphere. Sun spots are closely associated to solar flare and magnetic field anomalies. The beginning of one cycle (or the end of the previous) is marked by a minimum of sunspots while the middle of the cycle is determined by a maximum of sun spot activity. Temperature changes on Earth can also be tied to solar cycles; as sunspot activity increases, so does the temperature due to solar-flare activity, and vice-versa. As a matter of fact, when man started recording sun-spot activity (about 1600), the Earth was in the middle of the “Little Ice Age” which lasted about 250. Concurrently, sunspot activity was at minimum during that time (referred to as the Maunder Minimum).

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) dismisses the “Little Ice Age” as merely a mild change in global climate, about one degree Celsius. The IPCC and Al Gore won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, remember? This is the organization set up by the United Nations Environmental Programme and World Meteorological Organization, and was instrumental in the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which lead to the Rio De Janiero Summit and Kyoto Protocol. Try saying that three times, fast. What’s ironic (or moronic, depending on your take) about this, is that this same group has labeled our current global climate change (less than one degree Celsius) a crisis.

It is no mystery why the planet undergoes temperature changes. And we are destined to see them in the future. We are currently in the transition period between solar cycles 23 and 24, which means that sun spot activity is at, or near, minimum. It has also been documented that the last few winters have been setting record-cold temperatures around the globe. Surprised? Probably not, because it has all been attributed to global warming. Realistically (that means ignoring the global warming hoax) we can count on colder temperatures for the next 5-7 years, followed by a warming trend; playing the odds established over the last 300 years, and the Farmer’s Almanac.

Our new president gave his ideas on global climate change this morning (January 26), and our collective need to squelch it. He is going to save us all by investing our money in “green” technologies and fuel-sipping autos, while leading us all into a world free of gas fumes and economic despair. We can all revel in the fact that it will be paid by the prescription we have so willingly filled, and the pill we so blindly swallow.

You can’t turn the television on without hearing the word crisis. Seems that no part of our current existence isn’t in some sort of crisis; housing, finances, unemployment, automotive, and global warming to name a few. I find it utterly impossible to believe that there aren’t lines of people waiting to jump off the nearest bridge. If you listen to our media outlets, you would be hard-pressed to find a friend who isn’t ready to end it all.

A recent headline has been the unemployment crisis. Statements have been made about it being “The highest it’s been in 15 years”, and “Never have so many people been unemployed.” So I went to the Bureau of Labor Statistics to check things out. They had graphs and stuff. Interestingly enough, the headlines/statements were pretty close to the truth. Looking at the facts, however, I came up with some ideas of my own. I put my own spin on the information, and we no longer have a crisis on our hands.

First, let me give you some statistics. Over the last 50 years, the countries unemployment rate has averaged about 6.2% and has had lows of near 3% (1969) and a high near 11% (1982). The latest unemployment rate I have seen is at 7.2%. That’s not so bad when you consider the average over the last 50 years. In fact, my headline is going to read “Unemployment Rate Down Nearly 4% From 1982 High.” One statement and there is no crisis.

Check this out. Listening to Barack the other day he said (paraphrasing) “We have never seen job losses like we have today.” I don’t no where he is getting his data, but this is what i found out. According to U.S. Census numbers, the population in 1980 was 227, 225,000. So, considering population growth between 1980 and 1990, that would put the population at about 231 million in 1982. At an 11% unemployment rate, that would mean that approximately 25 million people were out of work. The population in 2008 is estimated at approximately 300 million. So at an unemployment rate of 7.2%, that means that just over 21 million people are unemployed. Headline number two reads “Fewer Jobless than in 1982.” Spectacular news. I love number games.

The point is this. Don’t believe everything you hear. Nearly every headline printed has an equally sensational “anti-headline.” Most of us have become rumor mongers just by putting our faith in network news. The networks, and newspapers for that matter, have substituted their integrity for sensationalism. Don’t be fooled. Do some research, and be open to the idea that things aren’t always as they appear.

We, as a nation, have entered an interesting time in our history, and I am sure that all of us who remember will be sitting on our front porches telling stories to our grand-kids. I think, however, the only serious crisis I’ll be talking about is how our nation turned into a great land of sheep looking for the next great shepherd.
