Yes a man who was light years ahead of his time penned this opening to one of the MOST influential documents ever written in history.
Sadly, today this means nothing to the elected officials governing our once great country. No it didn’t start sliding downhill when the Novelty Obama-nation uttered the statement, “We live in the greatest country in the world; help me change it, but that non hacker sure as fuck hasn’t HELPED things out a whole lot has he?
Motherfuckers (and father fuckers for you ladies who feel left out when I say it) Are lining up to defend this shitbird with statements like “No one can expect him to deliver on all of his campaign promises”. Then WHY the FUCK was he elected by a majority vote? If it doen’t matter what they say, why aren’t we picking a President’s name out of a fucking Fez? (Yeah a turban would just be a freaking hand towel with a bunch of clumps of paper inside it wouldn’t it?)
I’m getting off track here. HEALTH CARE for ALL should be FOR all not just one for us and one for them. I’f I’m having their shit crammed down my throat then at least tell me that they are getting the same lack of condiments that I am. REGULATIONS and REFORM are what the current System needs and not a Socialist, Eastern Block replacement for it.
While we’re at it, lets think about this. Nancy Pelosi and the fucking DNC is all over this shit about Leveling out the WEALTH of the nation. Lets call this what it REALLY is. They want You and I to be in the poorest 85% of the nation so THEY can be in the RICHEST 15% (if they will allow that many people to be as “privileged” as they are for being good enough to get you fucking moronic, mouth breathing masses to vote them into office.
“From Each According to His Abilities and To Each According to His Needs” is the mantra that these fuckaholics are chanting and the Public is chewing that up like it is a NEW concept. Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov brought forth REFORM via these means in a little place that used to be called Russia with these EXACT words.
The FIRST thing that these radicals who wish to infringe upon OUR Inalienable Rights do is to take away the guns of the people that they wish to enslave.
Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
This was written by men who had to shed blood to have the right to protect themselves from all enemies Foreign AND Domestic.
Hitler immediately took away every gun from the Jews and I hope you fucking idiots do remember what happened to them during his rise to power. NOW the Democrats have sought to take guns out of the hands of the people for many years and they always come back to the same thing. They SAY it is for OUR own good so that “Criminals” cannot get their hands on guns to harm us. WAKE THE FUCK UP. They are the criminals that wish to enslave YOU and make you work so that you get just enough to get by and they get MORE than they can possibly expect their grandchildren to be able to spend. if GUNS are so BAD, why are these people all Guarded by agents who have them?
AGAIN… WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE! Our society is being dumbed down by the lack of a true Education System. Our Wages and Income are being attacked, we are being led like lambs to the slaughter and the apathy and brainwashing that our leaders MUST be right just because they hold that position is sickening.
We are soon going to need a Revolution to get the Government out of our wallets, schools, and privacy of our own bedrooms because the MASSES can no longer think for themselves or ask the simple questions and react to the answers that are given to them rather than just going with the flow.
I can no longer sit idly by and watch the destruction of the greatest nation in the world. Who has the guts to speak out with me?

On May 1, millions of people all over Europe enjoyed a festive day of traditional merrymaking in celebration of May Day. In the United States, most people missed out on all the fun thanks to our puritanical pilgrims. While May Day had been celebrated in Great Britain for over a thousand years, the American pilgrims discouraged celebrating the event because some traditions focused on ancient fertility rights and paganism. Although the pilgrims created Thanksgiving, when it came to robust celebration of May Day, the pilgrims were a bunch of party poopers. Again and again prudish puritanical influences in this country have put a damper on fun activities and squashed the joy out of life in ways we have never fully recovered from.
With the constant stream of bad economic news, swine flu, political bickering, and lots of other depressing stuff, Americans need to cheer up and just celebrate being alive. Screw the puritans. Stop listening to political bullshit about the economy. It might be too late to celebrate May Day this year but it’s not too late to shake off the blues and dance. It’s time to eat, drink and be merry.

I’d begun hearing catch phrases like, “I got poked” - “Look who’s on my wall.” and “Tag this photo.” It was a strange, new language; a language I didn’t understand nor cared to. More often, these strange - almost coded - little messages would rear their ugly heads in normal conversation accompanied by smiles and giggles. Whatever they were talking about brought them joy. I still didn’t care.
“How many friends do you have?’
“I don’t know, but ’so and so’ just asked me to be her friend, too!”
Each conversation was part adolescent bliss and part emotional fulfillment. What is this “thing” that has everyone so giddy? Why is everybody talking about it…doing it and ridiculing me because I’m not? Peer presure at it’s worst…or best, if you’re one of the addicts. I avoided it like the plague for the same reason that I too am now addicted to it. It can’t be done in moderation. It’s all or nothing! Sure, you think you’re “just checking it for a quick sec” and 12 hours later you’re dialoguing with three online friends, tagging a fourth friend’s photo, while adding seven new friends that you haven’t seen since you had acne and braces. No question - FACEBOOK IS THE NEW CRACK! Granted, I’ve never indulged in the magical white pebbles of death, but I do know people who have and this has the makings of something just as consuming…but in a good way.
What is the appeal (of FB not Crack)? Let me try and explain it as best I can without sounding as if this is the only reason why it’s appealing and yet it pretty much hits the nail on the head…for me at least. (Whew.)
- Non-threatening Self-expression: It let’s the world know who you are, who you’re with, what you’ve done and what you’re into now - without you having to actually TELL anyone.
- Convenience: I can chat or not. I can tag or not. I can answer or not (right now) and nobody gets hurt, because they’re interacting with 50 other people, simultaneously, who are making the same easy, snap decisions.
- Connecting without obligatory investment/commitment: There’s nothing like getting “befriended” on FB by someone from your past and being pleasantly surprised…for a second; only to remember that you were never that close to begin with. No harm, no foul…add another friend to the tally.
- Reconnecting: Probably one of the greatest reasons for this site to exist. Friends who were friends THEN and after one million years of being apart, are still friends NOW as if you were never apart. (”Okay, it’s been 20 years…so where were we…oh yeah…so Debbie never liked her and I was all, no way…and she was like, yeah way!“) Well, you get the idea.
- Family: Can you say - ”Quick updates!” No more of the annoying - “Let me speak to Jimmy and then put Ray on, then grandma and let me talk to the twins after that.” Suddenly, your unlimited minutes become very limited with a side of cauliflower ear. With FB…TAG ME, BABY!
- Networking/hooking up: Probably the lamest reason to FB. You should do an about FACE and BOOK on over to linkedin or eharmony if you want a job or a date. You’re killing the lighthearted buzz with all your desperate neediness. And last but not least…
- Bragging rights: “How many friends you got?” One gazillion and 3…TOP THAT!
I’ve said it before, but I HATE IT SO GOOD because it calls to me in the morning and at night. Now I know why the caged bird…takes crack and sings. FACEBOOK!
In closing, as incredibly genius as this magical white pebble of networking is, it will NEVER replace the comforting release of a long conversation, the thrilling rush of a warm embrace, the goose bumps from a long slow kiss, the touch of a familiar hand in yours or the satisfaction of sharing a good, hearty laugh together. NOT EVEN CLOSE.
Stay connected…for real.
Benman out!

I live in a great country. Sometimes it’s hard to remember just how good I, as an American, have it. Sometimes it’s easier to revel in the constant bombardment of bad news and crises du jour. But for (at least) one hour every week I am reminded of the great people that do extreme good.
If you haven’t watched Extreme Makeover: Home Edition you are missing, in my opinion, a gigantic warm-fuzzy. For those of you that haven’t watched, and judging by their consistently high ratings you are a minority, the basic premise is simple: Find a deserving family and rebuild their crumbling, inadequate, and sometimes dangerous home with the help of community volunteers and business sponsors.
The stories are as varied as America itself; from children suffering from life-altering illnesses to families devastated by natural disasters. What makes each story so touching are the acts of selflessness, sacrifice and courage. Heroes, in their own right. Individuals and families that have seen past their own circumstances. A testament to the human spirit and the boundless dimensions of inspiration. A few of the stories have actually caused my eyes to leak.
What I find just as moving are the throngs of volunteers that show up every week to help their neighbors. I also applaud the corporations, and small businesses that donate goods and services to make the projects a success. With all the disparaging news, about unethical practices and what others deem exhorbitant greed, it’s refreshing to see and be reminded that our country would not be as great as it is without the kindness and charity of those that have the means, whether it be time or resources, to help their fellow man.
So call me what you will; be it sappy, idealistic or unrealistic. I will gladly tune in to the show that openly gloats on the citizenship of individuals and communities. I will listen to the stories of struggles and heroism, in whatever form they take. I will revel in the fact that people, as a whole, are good and when faced with a situation can accomplish extreme good.

Since I was a child, I have been taught the value of hard labor, and I worked hard, for many years at attain “The American Dream.” My economic generation depended on cultivating a die-hard workload and a professional ethical belief system based on reliability, accountability, and loyalty. As our children grow, we watch our old systems become inundated and obsolete.
I have always pursued my dreams, reevaluated my goals over the changing times, and there have been a few times that I have failed. For eight years I endured the stress and financial struggles of trying to further my career, work full-time, and raise a child alone with the added pressures of mental or medical disabilities, doctor’s visits, and medication. My daughter and I have always prayed to work and achieve a more comfortable living. We have struggled, my parent’s struggled, my sister’s family struggles and our grandparents struggled, all without a high school diploma or college degree. My grandfather, biological father and step-father all served in some war. Their wives and families were forced to quit school or discontinue managing the home and raising children to go out to work. We know the story.
Many of these men, our fathers their fathers served in our military years ago had parents who died early in life of various cancers, plagues, and viruses that had no alleviation or cure, and some even man made. Some of these men and women were raising their siblings due to the early deaths of their parents. Those siblings were left to fend for themselves, and the ripple effect progressed and grew on to this day. Their families still struggle to become financially stable in an economy of abrupt fluctuation. My step-father lost most of his split stocks for his retirement in 9/11. He was taught to invest time and loyalty, devotion to the employer who fired him after 23 years in reorganization. They worry every day if they will be able to live even at their current standard in their retiring years. My mother is now 60 and my step-father is 64. I am going to be 40 this year, and my sister is 35. All three of my grandfathers are deceased. Most of us didn’t think we would even make it past doomsday.
We know there are too many people and not enough jobs. It will take the strongest of us to change our lives. It is necessary. “Be part of the few, not the many” is the new idea of this generation and for generations to follow. We have to use more of our powerful and empowered minds to embark on different approaches and technology that will work for us in the future. Fearing and following our government is like allowing a 5 year-old child to drive your brand new BMW~if you are a politician.
My personal interest in growing my own food, building a cat sanctuary/greenhouse to study and develop the most nutritious, pest free vegetation so that when I retire, I won’t have to choose between heat and medicine, has been on-going for the last 10 years.
I am ready to endure whatever it takes to improve my life, and to help improve the geriatric years my parents face, my unborn grandchildren’s lives, and my children’s lives as they strive for the best education a lower to middle class, single-parent raised family can afford.
We have to come together Florida! America! We have to finally bond with each other to improve our highest good, and come up with the greatest ideas. We only follow others because it is the easiest, quickest thing to do especially if it makes sense. It doesn’t make sense anymore!
I am tired of giving everything and getting nothing. Who invented this two week notice? I cannot believe what we as a “people” have resorted to in these crucial times of change.
Today makes the age of a new way. There are millions of you out there that need to WAKE up RIGHT NOW!
What are your ideas? Do you realize you have been such a slave to the grind that you haven’t even been able to tune into the left side of your brain or maybe the right. Some of us are so out of it that we walk over dead people laying on the floor. We ignore a little girl who is screaming RAPE. This is not who we are. This is who we have become.
People are dying. Earth changes are happening, and our economy is faltering.
GIVE US some ideas you CHOSEN FEW!
LET’S TALK, LET”S COLLABORATE, LET”S FIGURE THIS SHIT OUT! WE DON’T NEED SOMEONE TO TELL US WHAT TO DO! WE KNOW WHAT TO DO! LET’S DO IT!
Tell me about the dreams you are having. Tell me about your premonitions. Hell you can even tell me about the ghost of your mother you have been seeing since you lost your 25 year old job, and have been sitting on unemployment for 6 months.
Tell me the problems, and let’s figure it out. ALL of us! IT is ABOUT TIME!

From the horror stories we hear, or in reality have to face, cancer is a four letter word. It is emotionally damaging to the diagnosed, and to their loved ones. It is a killer and everything about the disease is only an understatement. The most terrifying aspect of the epidemic is that it can not be prevented. Smoking may speed up processes like brain tumors, or melenoma, but if you are prone to not being able to fight off the ailment, odds are you will get it. (With the exception of smokers and throat cancer)
Unless you are fleeing to Canada for free MRI’s and CAT scans, the average American can not afford a full body cavity search. If you could stop your mother from contracting breast cancer, you would. If you could forsee your younger brothers lymphoma, you would prohibit it. Likewise with grandpas prostate cancer. (see http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/alphalist for an A-Z list of cancers) Life is a crapshoot when it comes to thinking about what way and when are we gonna go out. (Please be like Elvis on the can)
What is more disturbing, is that there is another epidemic that is completely contradictory to the means of contraction regarding cancer, and it’s AIDS. HIV left behind 15 million orphans last year. Many of the victims are born into the disease. AIDS is predominantly spread by unprotected sex, and desperate drug users. Ok, that is well known information. They preach safe sex all the time, or if you turn on Disney, the Jonas brothers say abstinence is the way to go. I can’t wait to see whose gay, or the first to father a child under 20 years old in that band. But I digress.
AIDS is a disease we continue to bring upon ourselves. Lusting, and shamelessly being foolish with our sexual endeavors. Whether it is the man whore, the slut, or the unsuspecting one night stand, we are all at risk. Particularly in densely populated cities, where it is impossible to fathom your partners sexual history. The death casts nothing but a painful, dreadful shadow on those inflicted. Torturous, and relentless in its conquest of crumbling the bodies immune system until the body caves in on itself. In Africa that’s considered a Tuesday.
Wake up America, come on, seriously, and insert another whiny sounding colloquialism here. Put on your cock balloons, plug in your diaphragms, or go to rehab if you’ve ever thought about sticking a needle in your arm. I hope those lovely images make you think twice before trying to bang some one off craigslist.

what has happened to Jennifer Hudson. Although I have not really followed her career, I know OF her from being a local Chicagoan, much like myself. A gal who struggled to get to the top of her game and was loved by everyone she met and touched. Now, to have her family die in such a horrible way, a double homicide…how will she ever wrecken this for the rest of her life?
Chicago now leads in the Highest Crime Rate for the year, distancing itself from New York City & Los Angeles. And I have to laugh since the Mayor (Richard M. Daley) wants the 2016 Olympics to be held here and he’s making it uncomfortable for anyone to live in ‘Sweet Home Chicago.’ Let’s not even discuss the 10.25 sales tax.
THE ISSUE OF STREET CRIME: Crime was ‘high’ in 1991 when I was beat up, robbed and left-for-dead in a pool of blood (ie: my own) 2 days before Christmas. Luckily, as a fighter, I survived and formed a group called Cartoonists Against Crime (C)91 to address the Issue. However, no Cast Workers or Therapists can say the write words or bring back Jennifer’s lovely family. That is totally at another Level.
And how far have We become unraveled as a Society? To think that one of the neighbors dismissed the GunShot Firings as something that just happens ‘in the hood?’ And, then went back to business as usual, without investigating. How sad is that?
I’m not related. I don’t even know any of the songs that Jennifer has popularized or seen any of her pictures. There are others who are not ‘in the spotlight’ whose loved ones are murdered in acts of random violence that don’t get air-time. It’s harsh enough that our Economy is forcing the Have-nots to rob banks and steal in order to stay alive, but when Innocent Loving People are killed; they must know they are not only killing a Human Life, but also destroying their remaining Family. I don’t think they especially care, they are that brazen and un-remorseful, but that’s My Valued Opinion.
It’s too sad to even think of this as a wake-up call. The Hudsons did not deserve this. My Prayers to them in their - our Time of Grief.
